This class is designed to build your intermediate handgun skills and push beyond the fundamentals in a safe, structured environment. This is a draw-and-fire class focused on developing the shooter’s speed, precision, and ability to perform under pressure. Students will clear malfunctions instinctively and run dynamic, live-fire drills that reinforce movement, accuracy, and real-time decision-making—relevant to both competitive shooting and real-world self-defense.

1-Day  8:00 AM – 4:00 PM


MINIMUM ENROLLMENT

This class requires a minimum of 3 students (see Terms & Conditions, item 6, for cancellation policy)


PREREQUISITES

Successful completion of Gunjock HG100 – Fundamental Handgun, or an equivalent structured class, or relevant practical experience through competitive handgun shooting (e.g. IDPA, USPSA, or similar disciplines).


TEXAS LTC COMPATIBLE

This class meets the Range Instruction and Handgun Proficiency training requirements, and is taught by a Texas DPS certified LTC instructor. If you are attending this class to satisfy your LTC training requirement, please make sure to select the ‘Include LTC Qualification?’ at checkout. Once you’ve booked your class, please email a PDF copy of your form LTC-100 or LTC-104 to ltc@gunjock.com at least 48 hours prior to class date.

  • Scan-and-Assess Techniques
  • Texas License to Carry (LTC) Range Qualification
  • Timed Performance Assessments
  • Advanced Dry Fire Techniques
  • After the Smoke Clears — Post-Gunfight Actions

GEAR & OTHER ITEMS

This is an outdoor course, held rain or shine. Please come prepared for Texas weather and bring the following:

  • Pen and notepad
  • Drinks, snacks, and/or lunch
  • Folding chair (for breaks on the range)
  • Handgun(s) intended for use during the course
  • At least two functional magazines for each semi-automatic pistol, or at least one functional speed loader for each revolver (more is better)
  • Strong side, hip holster for each handgun (must cover the trigger and trigger guard)
  • Suitable gun belt
  • Magazine and/or speed loader holders
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Approximately 250 rounds of ammunition
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (RAIN or SHINE—this is Texas, y’all, be prepared!)
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Positive attitude!
