HG100 – Handgun Fundamentals
HG100 is a one-day, 8-hour course focused on practical handgun fundamentals. It’s ideal for newer shooters ready to build safe, efficient gun handling skills — and for returning shooters who want a skills refresh based on modern techniques.
You’ll work through the essentials: proper grip, stance, draw mechanics, and reloads. You’ll also receive live-fire coaching that helps you refine both speed and control. While the Texas LTC shooting qualification is available in this class, the broader goal is capability, not just certification.
What You’ll Learn:
- Safe firearm handling, transport, and storage
- Drawing from concealment or holster carry
- Grip, stance, and visual alignment
- Clearing malfunctions and reloading under pressure
- Structured live-fire coaching and skill reps
- Optional Texas LTC qualification if needed
HG100 is designed to help you identify and fix inefficiencies early — before they become bad habits. It gives newer shooters the fundamentals they need to carry responsibly, while giving experienced gun owners a chance to evaluate and modernize their technique.
If you’re brand new to firearms, Private Instruction is a great place to start before joining HG100.

HG200 – Accelerated Handgun
HG200 builds on HG100 and is designed for shooters who already understand the basics. It’s also a great fit for those with IDPA, USPSA, or other real-world experience who want to train more deliberately.
You’ll work on drawing and shooting on the move, recoil management under time pressure, and post-engagement protocols. The focus is performance under pressure — movement, transitions, and real-time decision-making.
What You’ll Learn:
- Drawing and engaging while moving
- Recoil control and reload efficiency
- Advanced malfunction management
- Defensive transitions and movement off-line
- Situational scanning and post-engagement actions
- Optional Texas LTC qualification if needed
Students must complete HG100 or demonstrate comparable experience. If you’ve been training casually for a while and want to push yourself with purpose-built drills, HG200 will challenge you and give you measurable takeaways.
